Default Universal 100th Anniversary Edition missing Digital Copy?

I picked up several of the Universal 100th Anniversary Edition BDs recently. They ALL say "Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy" on the slipcase, however, some of them only say "Blu-ray + DVD" on the cover of the disc itself. There is also no mention of the Digital Copy on the rear cover. None of these have been opened yet. Has anyone else run into this?

Fast Times at Ridgemont High - Digital Copy not indicated on disc
The Blues Brothers - Digital Copy not indicated on disc
Field of Dreams - Digital Copy not indicated on disc

Apollo 13 - Digital Copy listed on disc
Uncle Buck - Digital Copy listed on disc

Fast Times has a digital copy for sure (I have it). I assume the rest do as well. Probably they do it like that so when the digital copies expire, the stores can just remove the slipcovers.

Check the insert on these - they're redeemable through iTunes as a store download.

The reason I asked is these discs are reissues, and it appears they are old stock in new slipcases.

All of Universal's releases are like that - only the slipcover says Blu-ray, DVD, & Digital Copy. The actual boxart only says Blu + DVD.

But the boxart of Apollo 13 and Uncle Buck do have the "Blu-ray, DVD, & Digital Copy" banner, and the Digital Copy is described on the rear. Perhaps I can post some photos tomorrow.

Old stock is the reason for this discrepancy, but not in the way you think.

Universal isn't indicating the digital copy on the interior insert for later on when the current releases w/ digital copy inserts are old stock. They'll still be able to sell them as Blu-ray/DVD combos without the slipcovers after the codes inside are expired and when people open them up a few years from now they won't be able to complain because, as you've pointed out, there will be nothing on the outer package advertising the useless expired codes.

It is because older version of Apollo 13 also had Digital copy...

Basically most of them are repackage of older version with same artwork but digital copy inserted into them.

I took at several titles at Target, and none of them indicated the Digital Copy on the disc, so I'm assuming Universal is clearing out old stock, and the code will be in the case. If not, I will contact Universal.
