Unfortunately it seems this along with alot of the other Warner catalogue titles I posted about earlier this year have been either pulled or atleast put on hold for some time.

I will update the threads whenever I hear or find any newer information though.

Thumbs down

I'd buy this the second that it was released if they bothered, it's probably my most wished for movie that hasn't appeared on blu in the UK yet. I guess Warner's just don't want our money

As we have discussed before Warner have pretty much given up back catalogue BD releases in the UK unless it is one of their mega films like Ben Hur.

Will it be the same overly-dark transfer as the US release?

I don't care if there are no extras on the UK edition, all I want is the original cut I saw in the cinema in 1992 dammit! Please Warners, you did right by us with Dances with Wolves!

If it is I'm not interested, I'll stick with the DVD.

I hope it's the theatrical cut, like the UK DVD was. I'm American, but can't stand the enormously changed version we got on DVD and then the still slightly changed version we got on BD.

If this is the original version I'll be ordering it in a second.

I'm hoping the fact that the UK got the original version on DVD from Warner, and the original version of Dances With Wolves on BD from Warner is a good sign
