Since it seems to be becoming less and less common, could someone just simply tell me, which Avengers steelbook has the following?

1. "The Avengers" on the spine. Can also be on the front, but it is ok if it is not.
2. A copy of the movie, with the correct title in the opening (The Avengers).
3. Clean back, and interior artwork.
4. 2D only. There will be none of that 3D rubbish in my Phase 1 collection!
5. A second disc hub, so that the Sainsburys exclusive disc can be stored inside with the movie disc, instead of it having a DVD copy.

i dont think there is a steelbook like you mentioned without the 3d disc. might have to bite the bullet and buy a 3D version steelbook

If there is a version like the one I described with both 2D and 3D discs, then I'll quite happily get it, and swap out the 3D disc for the Sainsburys documentary disc.

Think the FS version is the closest you'll get to that tbh

FutureShop sounds like your best bet. HOWEVER, NOTE THAT IT WILL BE A VIVA METAL CASE AND NOT A STEELBOOK.

Plus, any version that comes with a 3D copy will have your extra disc hub once you take out (and sell?) the 3D disc.

Yes I know. Do you think that I didn't? Take a look at it's thread, and let me know when you've noticed who revived it after the "Great Blu-ray Forum Heart Attack of 2012" fiasco.

Again, well aware of this fact.

MARVEL Being Sued Over THE AVENGERS Collector's Briefcase Set

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit...dBCErOFVGK8.99

Now that's a BIG misstake from Disney

As long as I have the BD of the movie, the 3D version is only a bonus to me. I will probably order the BD/3D/DVD combo.

Oh boy... looks like there may be a chance nobody will ever get their hands on this "collection."

FUTURE SHOP (Canada)
If what I read else were on the web is true, then Bestbuy in the USA will be getting the same metalbox:

I have read somewhere on this forum, that the Sainsbury's exclusive disc will also be included in the German 3D Steelbook. Is this correct?

So the Target Exclusive has 90 minutes of bonus footage (mean video footage, not just one additional commentary track or something corny) that other editions do not have?

Any word on a way to make the 3d pre-order cheaper than $33 on their website?

I decided to order the German steelbook as it seems to be the most suitable for me. Shipping wasn't much since I live close by (Sweden). It includes the necessary discs for me (2D, 3D and bonus disc). I couldn't care less about a DVD, a digital copy, a soundtrack or whatever else they're packing in the other editions. It's a steelbook, which is always nice to have. The only con I'm seeing is the character line-up on the spine, but that doesn't really bother me too much. At least there doesn't seem to be any German writing on it at all either, which is a big plus as I try to avoid hokey translations in my home video collection.

Yeah, I heard that the as well. It seems like the German steel will have everything. Just wish it had the title on he spine instead of the faces on it.

Is that the only steelbook with 3D blu, blu, and bonus disc at the minimum? I too do not care about DVD copy and while a digital would be nice, I can rip one myself.

Is that bonus disc the same that Target has in the US? Or will Target's have more bonus content?

Amazon.de shows

Bestellungsübersicht
Artikel: EUR 23,52
Verpackung & Versand: EUR 3,00
Gesamtbetrag: EUR 26,52 (converts to $32.60)

shipped to my address, the German steelbook is the same cost as the Target exclusive which makes it equally as tempting if I'll be getting the same bonus content plus the steelbook case. Are there any other German sources to get this steelbook perhaps at a cheaper price even? It appears that the €27.99 is lowered to €23.52 at the last stage of checkout for me for some reason. Should I be jumping on this now???

What's the story with this version:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-A...Blu-ray/44364/

Is this gonna be a store exclusive? Has it even been announced to be coming out? Most of all, how much is it going to be?

That's the FS exclusive SB. Not sure if BB in the US will get that one, or not. I'm thinking probably not.

All the more reason to drop the price, a little lower, to sell more units to cover legal expenses.
Can't wait to receive this set.
