I love this movie. Honestly, it's my favorite Mamet film. I'm excited to see it's coming to Blu-ray.

Had a look and I'd say its a decent upgrade if you're a fan. The original DVD was very strong and upscales well. Colours are similar but the blu does add greater depth and variety and you may not notice it at first but there is definitely more fine detail. On the DVD the bottle labels on the bar about 20 minutes in are unreadable but they're clear on the blu. Sound is German or English DTS HD-MA 5.1, extras are same as the DVD, Val Kilmer commentary and theatrical trailer.

Does it? I thought I remembered it looking pretty crappy but it has been a pretty long time. The caps-a-holic comparison shows this to be a pretty decent upgrade, so I'll probably pick it up sooner or later

Appears to be. I wish it wasn't. I like this movie as well and would buy the Blu ray if it was region free

Anyone have the Spain release, EAN 8436558199552? I think it was released in 2019.

I'd assume it is the same transfer as the German one, since no one seems to care about Mamet's films enough to make new scans.

I broke down and bought the Region 1 DVD, purely for the Val Kilmer commentary track. No regrets. Of course I would pick up a Region A Blu immediately.
