I clicked on this message thinking it was somebody asking for what 3D movie to buy but didn't expect this.

Well, I just preordered it. If nobody checks it before I get it then I'll find out whether this is region free or not.

Thanks. I changed the title a bit so hopefully no one else will mistake the meaning.

Default 3-Definitive Collection: The Best of 3D [Blu-ray]

Just saw this on Amazon.uk

Why is that non-US countries are flooded with 3D releases that US may never see ? Whats wrong with the 3D industry to not to target US ? Oh well, we know how stupid they are when it comes to making 3D most popular....

Anyway, I hope this turns out to be a 3D glutton's fest as it seems to target every 3D fan's wildest dreams exclusively !

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008CFGVU8

Product Description
Experience over 3 hours of exciting 3D productions from various genres with breathtaking effects as seen only in the movies. On Best of 3D you will encounter alligators, experience fast sports cars, walk through cities, plunge into the Coral Reef, get lost in stunning animations all in amazing 3D. In addition, you will experience the adrenaline rush of 3D extreme sports, dive with sharks in Thailand and see the award winning animated film Little Postman. Best of 3D has been developed and compiled to include the most exciting and thrilling productions from around the world and present them with stunning 3D technology on a Blu-Ray.

There's already a thread with this title discussed. Misleading title so easy to miss...

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=203105

As I mentioned over there, I preordered it. I got the notice last week that it was shipped so I'll probably get it early next week and I'll let people know how good it is (if UK user doesn't post first) and also whether it's region free or not.

Well I've just had a skim through the disc .....

It's a mixed bag but in my opinion there are some real stand out moments.

Easter Island - looks great !
The music videos look fantastic
The photo slide show is a real surprise and looks amazing
Rise - incredible - slow but incredible !
The postman animation is great

The sports footage is ok - pro/am shot
The underwater stuff looks amazing as always.
The 4d animation short is outdated and not very good.

In all after just this quick skim over it's a marvellous disc - really a demo disc mixed bag.
at £15 it's great and some real excellent quality 3d depth mainly but would wow any visitor
Would I import it ?? at the right price yes !! As a great demo disc to rival all of the other big company ones.

I've put this on my Bluray 3D rental to check it out. It looks as though a lot of these clips are YT3D clips, made more convenient to view by all being on a Bluray 3D disc.

Worth checking out though.
