Default Monster Cable Home Theater PowerCenter

OK I have a question does the Monster Theater Powercenter make that big of a deff because there always advertising that you need to use clean power for a better picture so I was wondering if someone has one and can tell a deff and if it is worth the money

I notice the difference more in my audio than video but I am sure there is some difference. That said I have always thought Monster products are a bit overrated and pricy for what you get. I got a Panamax conditioner and have been very happy with it.

I bought a Monster 1600 ($300) refurbished directly from Monster for $199. Full warranty, free shipping.
I like it because it is also a surge protector. It seperates power to audio and video too.
I like the individually labeled a/c outlets for each component, and the visible power status indicators.

You will notice a difference in dark scenes. I have a Panamax, I think that Monster will do a great job as well.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that you have to have a power conditioner in the system in order for it to be THX certified. (not that you are trying to THX your system)

Anywhere from 150 to 750+. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....c=abcat0100000 Monster makes some 3600 UPS systems. Depends how much you want to pay.

Don't know, I have never watched an HD set that wasn't plugged into some kind of power conditioner. From I understand how they work, the picture will only be improved minutely. The sound will be a lot cleaner, the equipment will be more efficient and last longer, but picture will be improved slightly.

Good power conditioners are not really designed to IMPROVE picture quality, but just help it along.

Fluctuations in power can affect picture and sound quality, which is what the power conditioners help with.

If you buy Panamax and you want their $2 million equipment converage, make sure you buy it new from an authorized dealer. Anything else, they won't honor it.

So, the Panamax does help? I currently have one of the Monster low end conditioner/surge bars. I don't think BestBuy carries it anymore. It just has LED indicators with no displays. Never had the TV hooked up without it, so no idea if it is making a difference.

Mine is teh old version of this one Monster Surge HTS 100....I think

I have the 3500 Mk. II, and it makes a noticeable difference with video in my system. I had a bit of video noise, but this cleared it up. Also, the difference in audio is noticeable too. Sound damping during quiet parts is complete, and midrange sounds smoother.

It may all depend on your situation too. Unfortunately, I have a local Mexican radio station located about a half mile from my house, and it introduces noticable interference through the telephone and electrical cables. Having Monster Reference Power Centers in my home theater room and den really helped clean everything up. Now, the picture and sound are really clean.

how come u dont have the samsung lnt4671f, or 5271f? sharp... contrast too low, has banding issues... stick to sony/samsung if you like lcds.... consumers guide... reports... cnet... all say to do so... but sharps usually cheapest on block.... samsung... 25k:1 contrats (AND>... samsung made sonys xbr screen for 07 ) sammy n sony both have 120 hrz.... sony lookin lil better with movement... but a yellow hue to its picture.. sometimes green.. iv had them calibrated at no expense of mine, given i work in a store for them. personally... the samsung is the better choice... sharps very durable... but WAYY to low on color spectrum.. as for power centers.... i have the mk2400 hd. monsters first "hd" stabilizer and controller.... idk if inflation, or bs... but the 2700 joule level (raw estimate.. too lazy to go check) was nice.. and I won it at monster demonstration meeting

Actually a power conditioner cannot adjust for fluctuations in power, it only filters the power of any noise etc. A voltage stabilizer can elimination power fluctuations by keeping the voltage at a constant value.

Default Yes it's worth the investment

I bought a Monster AVS 2000 home theater automatic voltage stabilizer
about 2 years ago and it makes a huge difference in audio and video . I bought mine for the fact the AVS 2000 provides consistent 120V output when AC input fluctuates anywhere from 80-140V. this helps receivers and amplifiers maintain the stability needed to deliver peak power and performance. Along with the AVS 2000 , i have a Monster HTS 5100 Home Theater Reference power center it has stage 4 clean power to filter out all noise from your home theater products that are attached . The warranty is awesome on these products my house had a huge power surge about 2 years ago and monsters warranty covered all my connected equipment and replaced their products as well . i highly recommend monster power centers and their voltage stabilizers and they have great battery backup units for your home theater as well .
