Default Street Fighter 4 - PSN download or Blu-ray disc?

Does anyone have any info or thoughts on how SF4 will be sold? I can easily see this being a sub 60$ PSN download as opposed to a store bought copy. It doesn't seem like it will be too large in size.

Is there an official character list for SF4? So far it just seems like all the old characters with all the same moves. That is kind of disappointing.. especially if it is going to cost 60$.

I'm quite sure it'll be released on blu-ray. I know there are new fighters in this one. I believe that both ign and 1up have updated lists.

Just read developers are having hard time getting Street Fighter HD under the Microsoft 150MB limit.

Apparantley they set an arbiturary limit on size of downloads on their paid for service, and capcom cannot get all the content they have with Street Fighter HD in 1080p, and multiple original and remix sound tracks under that limit. They got no problem with PSN, as there is no limit...

I say F 360, cut the game down or reduce content on 360 version, hopefully they will not do the same for the PS3 version, nice "superior" online system the 360 has..

This is because MS wants all Arcade games to be able to be transferred to a memory card.

On topic, I'm sure this will be a regular game release.

Still waiting for the PSN trailer and watch it in 1080p. I wish Sony would create more movie and game trailers because it'll probably pick up more business due to the 1080p capability.

Another stupid mistake on MS made due to some consoles not even having a Hard Drive, so in order to support all systems.. must reduce the ability of all to lowest common denominator.. now we are even feeling that hurt on the PS3 with limitations such as these.

Well, good news is, Bionic Commando Re-Mastered has crappier audio + graphics on the XBL version compared to the PSN version. The file size difference is rather large and capcom said they wouldnt cripple the PS3 version just to accomodate the xbox 360 version. So if anything, SF2 1080p will be much better on ps3.

They'll want to charge full freight on Street Fighter 4, it'll come on disc even though the game will likely come in under 2GB in size, who wants to download that much?

I would think in todays age most people would. I would rather download it and not hassle with putting in the disc.. and it would possibly be a little cheaper avoiding freight and store markups. 2gb is not very much..Either way it is not a big deal I just prefer a download for smaller sized games. I have 60gb drive let me use it.

Seeing as some demos have been over 1gb I don't really see 2gb being a issue, if you get say over 4.5 then that enters a sensitive issue.

9gb and over is the extreme and probably not recommended.

I fully expected SF4 to be on a disc....but then again maybe I expected SF4 to have more than it really will?

The vast majority of fighting games have very little content though.....its ALL in the gameplay/replay value.

Highly unlikely, it just increases the game maker's back end of it.

No one is going to pay $59.99 for a download, or at least not enough to make it worthwhile. They have a hard enough time getting hardcore PC gamers to do it

Hardcore PC gamers spend their dollars on hardware and pirate the software tho. You still cannot pirate PS3 games, which is a record for the video game industry now btw, so who knows how it would do on the ps3.
