Lets try and get Scott Hettrick to post on blu-ray.com!!!

Hey everybody,

Im not sure if everyone one knows who Scott Hettrick is, but he is somebody who I am trying to convince to join bluray.com as an insider. He is a lot like Bill Hunt in that he is VERY much aware of what goes on in the industry and can often answer questions that our insiders might not be able to due NDA's


All of you who would value to have Scott join our forum as an insider let him know by posting here in the comments section:

I don't mean this to sound rude, but why do we need him as an insider? Blu-ray has won. Insider information at this point is not necessary. We have no immediate direct competition. DVD is the only medium that poses any threat, and I believe we will co-habitate with DVD for quite sometime.

Again, I don't mean it to sound negative, is there any other reason to have insider info? Perhaps new products lines, media, etc?

By your logic the only reason this forum exists was to rally troops in the nonsensical format "war." Using the same logic, why not just shut down the forum altogether, then?

Personally, I've been hoping that the forum (and the insiders) can start spending more time discussing things that actually matter -- movies, technology, etc, instead of childish "my little round optical disc is better than your little round optical disc" series of insults, etc.

The "war" is over. Now the fun begins -- but people need to get past the old mentality.

I agree, I like Scott Hettrick's articles, very sound and well thought out. The guy is very reputable, and has good sources, having him here would be very cool indeed!
