Gorillas in the Mist (Universal) - Blu-ray Forum

Universal is pretty good about putting their movies out on Blu-ray, aren't they? I wonder why we haven't heard anything for Gorillas in the Mist yet. It won some Golden Globes, got a bunch of Oscar noms and was generally well-received.

Watched this a few months ago with my daughter and we loved it. We've been thinking about a repeat viewing, but it would be great to know if was coming to HD soon. I got what appears to be a copy of the DVD release, and the picture is pretty poor.

I want Gorillas in the Mist on blu-ray also. I think Universal has the rights, which is encouraging for it getting released at some point.

Count me in! I really liked the film, especially the jungle scenes.

The DVD was in pretty bad shape however, so this one would need a major overhaul to be released on Blu-ray.

I just hope Universal won't DNR this to hell as well.

Gorillas is the Mist is a slit rights picture. Universal owns north America And Warner rest of world. They both have to agree to make a bluray happen, and Warner is to busy with Suuperman and other big fall releases. Cross your fingers!

Perhaps Someday. I would also purchase this on Blu-ray if and when it becomes available.
