the replacement amazon sent out came today and it was even worst then the first one dinted and several scrachs.
ok just got off the live chat with amazon they gave me a full refund. the person i spoke to from amazon told me the the pins came sealed in by paramount so this is 100% paramounts blunder and not amazons becuase amazon did a great job of packaging as they alway do. i sent several emails to paramount and go no resones out of them what so ever. the person from amazon said they have been in contact with paramount to try to reslove the issue. so i'm thinking thats why the release date is now listed a oct 19th becuase paramount is sending them in a new shipment that won't have the pin sealed to the case and wont have the issues we all. so if all goes well mabey next month we will be able to place new order and get one that won't be wercked. anyone who didnt get full refund just keep messaging them that way at least u will have the full amount back for buying a new copy when the time comes. i received my copy, dented same as the rest.
i emailed amazon, and asked for options, they offered 6 EUR refund. how did all you other people get full refunds? |

just tell them u want to return it but the cost of shipping would be as much as the item cost. just tell them to send it back from canada would cost $70 to send back with tracking. they should just offer u a full refund if not just keep trying.

paramount is offering free replacements to people who bought the steelbook who got them damaged from the pin. only stupid thing is the only countries who can sign up are the same 3 who can sign up for the free pin box. i sent an email to the email address on there contact us page asking what the deal is if there going to be willing to help out the people from canada and us who bought copies. i will post back here if i hear anything. paramount them self never bothered to email me back when i sent them an email about this. also sent an email to amazon asking them if there is anything they can do to help. hoping that they will help us out. ok i got a reply back from the startrek.de they said for us that don't live in germany just to ignore the country drop down menu list leave it set to germany fill everything normaly in but were it says town or ort in german to fill in there city then province/state then country. so just fill in that and all should be good.
ok i signed up the way they said to and it accpeted it so looks like it should be ok. i sent them another email asking if this method will also work for the free pin box. also asked if the episode guide that is going to be in the new steelbook if they would beable to provide an english one and alsoif the replacements there shipping will be compeltly new sets factory sealed or just the steelbook it self. ill post back here with more info when i get it. awww man, i would love to have an episode guide.
but i already received the full refund from amazon. oh well, maybe there is a complete series episode guide somewhere. |

asked if it was possible to get the german discs, was given the german customer service email, and received no response. this whole thing has been a mess. i just hope that season 2 will be a lot easier, still in a steelbook, with no dents, no missing visual effects, and properly mapped audio. Anyone know yet if the new batch of steelbooks will include the new discs with the fixed audio issues, or who to contact to ask?
i'm considering buying a new one so i can have a non dented case with a full set of matching discs (that is, if the new set has the good discs.) |

ok small update finaly got a reply. he told that me my order for the replacement is in and i will recivice 1 replacement i got a refund like u did to so guessing they don't care about that.
he also said replacements from them will be shipping out on oct 15th. one issuse is he said that the guides that will come with the replace will only be german and for him no way to get an english one. may be possable if we email paramount usa c/s and just explain we bought the german release they may be willing to mail a guide to us i haven't tried yet. he didn't awnser my questions as to weather this sign up meothd will work for pin boxes to i'm assuming it will and as to weather the replacement will just be an empty steelbook or a full steelbook with all disc factory sealed i sent another email asking that again. |
