Default Question about buying Blu-Ray players from USA

I need to know if I purchase a Blu-Ray player from a US web site like Amazon etc. Will it be region A? I mean is their a guarantee that its Region A? Also what sort of converter or anything I would require for voltage here in UAE?

yes it will be as that's the only system they can sell. But be aware that not all games purchased outside the US will work. Same for Blu-ray but I'm sure you knew that.

As for power you will need to purchase a step down converter to convert your 240v power to 120v with a NA type plug. Be sure it's powerful enough for the PS3.

It will be Region A, if you buy a player from Amazon.com, unless it's specified that it plays all regions. You don't need a transformer/power converter if you're buying a PS3. I have a North American PS3 that works fine here in Norway without one. All you need is a figure-8 power cord that works in your country. Standalone players may or may not need one, depending on model. Be aware that a US PS3 does not handle 50hz/PAL material, if that is an issue.
