Anyone still watching this show? I thought the blind auditions dragged on last season but now they're picking 16 contestants per team.

Even if they blow through three additions in like 15 seconds like they did with Wednesday's show, they still spend a lot of time with people who don't get picked.

Also, Domo is this season's Erin Martin... and Cee Lo has her again.

I'm watching but so far I do not care for any of the contestants. It's more fun listening to the judges fight or make their pitches.

Yes, LOVE this show and am still watching. Adam and Blake are hilarious. I felt a little sorry for Cee-Lo as he wasn't getting picked.

And yes, I think Domo is going to be just as annoying (actually more so) than Erin!!

+1
Blake and Adam also have the ability to sound genuine when they make their pitch. Not as much with Christina and CeeLo.

Anyone watch the Monday, Sept. 17 show? I don't know how they edit these things together, but they sure made it look like Cee Lo didn't have anything to say to the 17-year-old girl that wasn't perverted so he ended up not saying much of anything at all.

Also, Shakira and Usher are replacing Christina and Cee Lo for the spring season. Sounds like Blake and Adam are coming back.

I wonder how it feels to be one of the singers that gets picked yet it all gets shown in a 15-second montage with other contestants?

Blake and Adam are confirmed to be back. Usher and Shakira are just for the spring.

Cee Lo and Christina will be back for Fall but Blake/Adam will probably leave.

NBC said they plan on switching 2 judges each season in order to allow acts to tour, promote albums, etc and to bring in other new people

Not a bad idea rotating like that. Wish Keith Urban would have been chosen for this show (after Blake leaves) instead of "Idol". I really didn't plan to watch "Idol" this time. . .but I'd like to see Keith.

I don't think the Voice will be the same without Blake, he is so freaking hilarious it makes the shows fun to watch.

I'd definitely prefer Shakira in some skimpy outfits instead of Christina though.

If they could ever pull it off, having Blake and Miranda as competing coaches would be a coup.

I do not care for Usher and have no clue who Shakira is. I like Christina. Oh well, Adam & Blake have the best "fights" to win over contestants so I will probably still watch atleast the auditions next season. Still havn't seen anyone that I really care about... the young girl that played guitar and kicked the tamborine was alright.

Well said. I like Blake & Adams tiffs! Cee-Lo makes me laugh everyone once awhile as well. And Christina...well she's Christina. I've been watching the Voice since season 1 & will continue to do so. I feel it is better programming than American Idol IMO.

I have no idea why I started watching The Voice since I don't watch Idol or Dancing with the Stars or any of those other shows, but I've been enjoying it and I was rooting for Dia in season 1 and Jermaine in season 2.

I think building "teams" of 16 is way too much. How can you care about anyone who got picked three weeks ago or who they only showed 5 seconds of for when they got picked?

Yup, its almost like the NCAA tournament! I think the first cut is going to be brutal and half will be gone.

Basically, every team only needs 2 or 3 who could win it. I thought Cee-Lo was having trouble building a team because people didn't pick him, but he got a couple of key people who could be in till the end. That's all he needs. So it doesn't matter if he has someone like Domo for his enjoyment.

In all honesty, it's only a "team" for the coach. The singers on said teams are competing against one another for a spot in the final four, so it's more like the Shelton, Aguilera, Green and Levine Regions.

So really each coach only needs one home run hitter, to mix metaphors.

Well last year I was biased toward Simms because I was an Automatic Loveletter fan prior to the show and now this year I am going to end up biased toward Pope because I was a Hey Monday fan. At this rate the things I buy on iTunes are going to turn into nothing but The Voice performances since all the groups I like are getting killed off

Hoping she ends up with Adam due to the twist where coaches can steal somebody or whatever it is. Really don't trust Blake to handle her right and couldn't believe she picked him.

Blake let Dia and Jermaine do whatever they wanted and they were his home run hitters.

You have to take into account Adam's willingness to torpedo his fellow singers if he thinks it helps the one he believes is his shining star. He was the only coach whose points actually prevented someone from winning the popular vote last season. And in season one there are some who believe he picked Casey to be easier fodder for Javier.

Do we know anything about the steal option? I was under the impression that it's not an actual steal -- it's just a coach being able to pick up someone else's battle round rejection.

Also, I wonder why true amateurs would even bother going to The Voice first. The last two seasons, the finalists were all professionals with a lot of experience, and The Voice even takes people who didn't get far on other shows.

Yeah but it is more that Blake doesn't know what to do with non-country singers more than him being open IMO. And he made some brutal calls on songs last season. Adam does control his singers a bit more but that is because he can bring more to the table in helping them develop. Christina is the only coach that I find totally worthless though. Controlling, head up her ass and too much of an ego to care about her singers once the season is done. Also have to keep in mind they only have so many pre-approved songs they got permission to use so letting the contestants always pick the song would cause problems.

The wording was that a coach can poach a singer if they feel a coach isn't handling them right or something like that. Which wouldn't indicate that they need to be eliminated first.

I agree but there are some things I wish they would change. I love the auditions and the coach banter. Christina needs replaced though. But I hate the battle rounds since far too often two duds get into a battle together while two great talents end up in another. Would also like the coaches to have no say in who goes home. Should always be who had the least fan votes IMO. Would also like to see iTunes downloads count for a larger percent of the vote. But my biggest problem is that it needs to be once a year. Feels like the last season just ended just like it felt like the first season had just ended last season. Doesn't give the contestants time to properly get an album out and benefit from their exposure. Hell Simms was tweeting just the other day that she was picking up her Kia as this was starting let alone having time to get an album out

Okay, the recap episode said the "steal" is being able to pick up someone who was cut from another team, so it's not even a steal. It's more like claiming off waivers.

I actually like this idea of picking up someone who was cut from a different team. Gives the coaches the ability to give someone a second chance.
