Anything but Bose!!!!

Seriously though, Pioneer's new high-end range is very good, but you should go to an AV specialist store and have a listen to the systems they have there. Some even give very good advice, I would stay away from all of the chain stores and go to an independent as they have the best customer care.

frank while a very good question with much debate, the honest first answer most can give is "what is your budget?"

if money is no factor, we can put together a 2 mil system for ya. i get the feeling though that this would not be the case.

for the money, i like my system. see sig. of course, i'd be going with an hdmi capable amp instead (hopefully 1.3, but not necessary).

What's wrong with Bose? I've had Bose for years and have no complaints? I thought they were supposed to be one of the best? Just asking.

Ball park £3000 for the speakers and amp, a chap in the office suggested the KEF Eggs and I think they look the buisness in the piano black finish to match the Pioneer Plaz.

Open to suggestions?

Not a good idea having speakers on stands etc as the rottweilers will asume they are some sort of new toy. Wall mounts might be the best way forward, will have to take a chance on the sub

while not a huge wall mount fan, they can look very awesome. i'm more of a floorstander/stand kind of guy

that being said, i am a big b&w fan and i have heard and read some good reviews on these http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/display.aspx?infid=820

If you can get a Bose set-up for 75% off, its perfectly fine. The trouble lies when you pay full price and it performs about as well as something 1/4 its cost.
