Rebate question - Blu-ray Forum

for the 5 free blu rays (gotta mail them in today). Do they require the original receipt or do they accept just a copy of the receipt?? I remember the Toshiba one said right on the form that it was the original upc and a copy of the receipt. This form just says to send in receipt and original upc. Did anyone get rejected/accepted with a copy of the receipt????

I sent a copy of the receipt and the original upc. I had other items on the purchase and did not want to hand over my receipt.

I have not gotten my discs, but I have called the hotline, and they are in the shipping stage, so I assume there are no problems.

I can't see why they would be concerned with a the receipt being a copy. They record the retailer and receipt number when they process the rebate claim. Receipts are unique unlike UPC codes. It would be pretty easy to program the order processing to reject duplicated receipts.

I got my Blu-Ray player from Best Buy and they provided me with a reciept and a copy to be used for the rebate, as well as the rebate form..

Nice of them

I had to have it in by 01/31/08.. and I think I sent it on that day.
Don't yet have the movies.

it says on the form (photocopy of the receipt should be provided)

Wasnt there a website as well as a phone number to check the status of your movie order?
