also why are there black bars? If their are black bars does that mean its only in 720p? Why are there not that many extras? How come my VHS tapes wont work in my ps3?

VHS tapes do not work in PS3 because PS3 was made by Sony. If you use Beta tapes, they will work.

If you pull the tape out of the VHS and wrap it around a disc they play just fine.

Next time do a search, it's a pretty common question
