Canada walmart exclusives

Hi
I tried in the past getting some walmart exclusives in Canada (the Chuck Norris ones) my store : Charlottetown PEI never got them in stock so i ended ordering on ebay (no traces of those blu rays on the walmart canada website)
so i was wondering if anyone of you remarked the same thing as me ie: not all the walmart exclusices areavailable here in Canada

It's very important to remember that the period of retailer exclusivity is limited and that ALL exclusive releases eventually go into wide release...usually after a 6 month period. (This doesn't include any special packaging, I'm just talking about the Blu-rays themselves).

Yes, I'm aware that the U.S. Walmart exclusives are, as a rule, never available concurrently at Canadian Walmarts during their period of exclusive release.

But all of the retailer exclusives in the U.S. go into wide release eventually. You just have to wait. If you MUST have something on release day (or early in it's release), then you can go to eBay. If you can be patient, you can buy them in Canada in 3 to 6 months.

Blu-rays like THE RING, MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD, QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER, THE ISLAND and many more were U.S. retailer exclusives which EVENTUALLY went into wide release.

Om amazon.ca right now, I see three Chuck Norris films set for release on October 9 (with 2 other ones already available).

yes but it sucks because even if it's country related it's not like if it canada would be region locked thing not sharing the same zone as USA...or maybe this is the problem for certan studios

its random excusive some get picked up in canada other times they don't. like some times bb usa excusives will be futureshop excsives in canada its all random. or like the jaws and e.t digibook in the usa they are bb only releases but here everyone got them.

if u want them right away best bet is either ebay or try a site call bluraysforeverone.com they get alot of the usa only stuff and there markup is not a huge amount. also they put low vaule on the customs forum so u never get charged import fees. also there site will list if the copies there selling has a slipcover included.

The Walmart in Charlottetown sucks in general. Very rarely do they ever have, well, anything.

I go there almost every week though, kinda odd. Futureshop is getting bad now as well. We need an HMV.

Nice to see folks from Charlottetown posting on here. The selection here isn't the greatest and Future Shop recently cut down their Blu-ray selection by about 50%.

I'd say about 75%. They have new releases and a few older ones when they have Trade and Save or a deal.

They used to have a huge collection.

Are they all doing this? Because that what happened here in Rimouski.
