No BD's. You can watch your videos you have stored on your hard drive, play ps1 games and i believe you can stream music also.
I had a PSP, but i returned it. Unless you travel alot, there isn't a reason to buy one exclusively for the remote features.

Thanks! I was under the impression you could watch your blu-ray that was left in the PS3. I agree I guess that was the thing I wanted most. I think i would be better off with a Itouch.

I'm pretty sure Sony announced (at CES) that you would soon be able to rip a copy of the movie from the Blu to your PSP through the PS3.

Not sure on the exact details. It's possible this is somehow related to digital copy (is that PSP compatible?), and it's also possible it may not work with all movies.

Actually there are titles coming out with a digital copy of the movie with BD that you can transfer to your PSP. Hitman and Juno will be two titles to use this feature. I can't wait to try this out to how it turns out. Fox seems to be the first studio to utilize this. It isn't remotely watching them, but you can put them on your memory stick and watch them on the go which I think is nice.

In addition, the rumor is, as stated previously, that Sony will be releasing a firmware update to the PS3 that will allow you to make a DRM-protected PSP copy of ANY Blu-ray you place in your PS3. Basically, you'll pop in a Blu-ray, connect your PSP via USB cable, select the menu option on your PS3, and let it work its sweet, sweet magic. Whether this will actually happen or not is an entirely different matter...

If THAT comes to fruition, w/ added capability to do that w/regular DVDs (I understand there might be a way to do that w/existing Media software on the PC), I am SO buying one. I'm hoping on scoring a traveling job soon, so that would be way useful.................

Just rip DVDs and use them. Blu-ray on the PSP is such a waste of time. You don't get the video or audio improvements and you have a small screen.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a PSP just because of remote play. I hooked my PSP up to the PS3 and I was amused for all of one hour. After that, blah.

However, I don't travel a lot. And sitting around my house doing anything on the little PSP while I could be using my HDTVs or good monitors is rather stupid.

And why the hell would I want to play PS1 games anyway? They look like crap and they're even worse when shrunk down on the PSP's screen. Boring.

God of war looks pretty sick. Granted it's nothing like ps3 on HDTV but it's still crazy looking good for the palm of your hands.
I'm just hoping the PSP can be implemented for video games like the rumors of using the PSP as the actual PDA for GTAIV or using it as a rear view mirror for gran Turismo. One can dream!

Just make sure it's a PSP Slim. I got the "Freakin' Sweet Collection" for $200. That comes with the Daxter game, the Family Guy Freakin' Sweet (TV episodes), and a 1 GB Memory Stick Pro. It was...freakin' sweet!

PSP is a great handheld system even if there was no ps3. I had the phat one the day it was released then sold it. I then bought the Star Wars bundle(it is all about Vader baby). Love the slim.

I was thinking about the Star Wars pack as I loved the PS2 Battlefront games but the Daxter pack comes with a lot more for the same price.

I was going to ask if anyone has tried it since hitman came out already. I wonder how easy it will be to transfer it over.

I'm waiting for the God of War bundle.

I'll basically just use it when I travel (right now about twice a year, but am possibly getting a traveling job) and when I'm in the crapper.

Actually PS1 games look pretty good on the tiny screen, since its a lot harder to see jagged edges or bad textures and such when its shrunk down. Also some of us still cherish our PS1 games like the final fantasy's

Managed copy will be sweet, especially since you can hook up your PSP to a tv now, so its pretty much a portable movie player.

But first and foremost I bought my PSP for the actual PSP games, the other features were just a giant bonus. God of war, Final Fantasy 7 crisis core, metal gear solid portable ops, syphon filter, worms, grand theft auto stories and ratchet and clank all look awesome and Im looking forward to trying them all (just got my psp 2 weeks ago)
