Australia Harry Potter 8-Film Collection

Seen this on eBay for $76 (incl. P&H) when JB HiFi has it at $139.95.

It's the 11-Disc collection. Day one purchase anyone?

Yeah I seen this. I'm prob going to grab it in AUS if there are special features on DVD.
Does anyone know if it is 11 blu-ray discs? Or 8 BR and 3 DVD?

Isn't this addition only 32 pound on amazon uk (60NZ give or take). That seems like the obvious purchase choice.

Yeah sure is. Its in my amazon basket. I'm just waiting on confirmation that it is 11 blu-rays and no DVD because the DVD will be region 2 and I dont have a multi region player

I just found out in a user review on Amazon that Warner Bros are going to stop shipping Harry Potter to retailers at the end of the year and do a complete re-issue in late-2012.

Quote:
Hard-core Potter fans will be pleased to know that 2011 is not the end of the Harry Potter film franchise on DVD and Blu-ray. Warner Home Video plans to release a comprehensive Harry Potter film collection, with even more extras and collectible premiums in 2012. More details about the collection will be available at a later date.
I'm going to wait in that case.

I'm gonna wait till WB finishes with the HP films for good before I buy any Blu-Rays. This is one franchise I won't be double dipping in.

^ You might be waiting a while... isn't JK going to write more books just to keep the franchise going?

I had heard the JK said she would go back to the HP universe. But a timeline isn't set when she would return or infact if Harry would appear at all.

One of the producers of the HP series has said that the 1st & 2nd movie's will have the effects redone. To match those seen in the rest of the franchise. That will likely happen once the series boxset is released. Giving WB a chance to go back and work on a boxset for release in 2013-2014.

and now in late 2012 they've released that collectors edition for almost $500. not worth it tho, most of the money goes to the fact it's 2 to 3 copies of each movie and a special cardboard box.

When I asked WB about that, they said that everything of HP that needed to be released has been. I told them "No it hasn't" as there's still the Collector Editions of Years 5-7 to be released. They said there are no plans to release them at this time, but that doesn't mean they won't. I mentioned it would be weird if WB AU are waiting for the masters to be sent while WB US are waiting to be asked to send them. If my sister and I badly wanted them, it would be best to buy them online.
