Downloads won't replace media but this article seems flawed. To pick on two points:

1) "For True High-Def Movies, You Need Discs"
The last I checked 720p and 1080i were true high-def. It's nit-picking but they should have worded it 'a better high-def experience' or something like that.

2) "But I rent DVDs from Netflix--and Netflix won't charge you a dime extra to send Blu-ray versions."
Right now Netflix does not charge extra for HDM rentals but they are considering it. That really should have said 'currently, netflix does not charge extra for blu-ray versions.' Then linked the article stating they are considering it.

And then pretty much STOPPED saying it, after the War was suddenly over, they could safely increase their Blu stocks, and they had some measure of audience acceptance.

(They always say strange things like that when they panic, to try and shift the blame back on the customers.)
