Default Rage against the machine to release 20th anniversary box set on november 27

RATM marks the 20th anniversary of their debut release with "XX" – 20th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Box Set.

Contains never-before seen early concert footage and full 2010 Finsbury Park Victory Concert along with remastered debut album, original demos and treasure trove of videos and music.

Also available as a Special Edition set, featuring 2 CD and bonus DVD and Anniversary Edition with original album remastered plus bonus tracks.

CD 1 includes the original album, remastered, with 3 bonus tracks of collectible b-sides from era.

CD 2 presents the original Rage Against the Machine demo tape. Recorded in 1991 and sold for $5 at the merch table at early Rage shows, the tape achieved mythical word-of-mouth status amongst music fans while helping to seal the band's deal with Epic Records. The 20th anniversary releases of Rage Against the Machine - XX marks the first time the entire RATM demo tapes have seen a full official release.

DVD #1 features Rage Against the Machine's historic free concert in Finsbury Park on June 2010, performed as a thank-you to UK fans for making "Killing in the Name" the UK's Number One Single during Christmas week 2009. Also included is the band's groundbreaking music videos plus live concert performance clips, some of which are released for the first time ever.

DVD#2 takes you back to the release of Rage s debut album focusing on live performance from 1991-1994 and which features for the first time the full set of RATM's first public performance as well as various live clips.

Rage Against the Machine - XX includes new liner notes, penned especially for the band's 20th anniversary by longtime fan and hip-hop pioneer Chuck D.

los excellentos - this time re-release is made with thought - there is also 2 cd + dvd version ( I ordered that one )

I don't know this album, nor do I have any of their cd's. Octane plays them LOTS and I like what I hear. I wiki'd them and it's an interesting history.
I am definitely getting this!

Yeah, I know Audioslave and they're pretty great! Cochise and Show Me How To Live are impossible to play quietly, they gotta be CRANKED! I also bought their concert dvd recently. I only listened to it once so far but will listen more when I get home.

If I like this RATM album, which I'm sure I will, I'll check out others. Maybe you can recommend another?
A while back when my wife would be telling me about her day at work she'd be saying "Sometimes I could just.." and I'd cut her off and say "Kill a Man?" Hahaha! It happened several times before I explained it. Rage's music is awesome and I can't wait to check 'em out. Loudly, of course!

Double Edit: They have just the LP = $19

Unfortunately Sony legacy is pressing the vinyl. Ill wait till I get some feedback on it but ill probably stick with my Music On Vinyl release. They should have had a box set with blurays.

Definitely on the same page. I have the first 2 RATM and both AS. The power of RATM musically with the writing and singing of Chris Cornell.

Audioslave was a letdown for me.

Cornell was the only thing I really liked about Soundgarden, and the only thing I didn't like about Rage Against the Machine was their vocalist's whiny rapping about how evil the government and corporations are.

When I heard Cornell was joining the likable part of Rage, I was very excited. But Audioslave didn't have the intensity I was expecting. Oh well.
