Default HMV: 2 for $50

Not sure if all you Canucks know, but HMV has had this 2 for $50 deal going on for a while (both online and in-store)

im picking up a few good men and die hard for $50 (considering die hard is 34 everywhere else)

oh and btw, they also have some OOP paramount titles as i mentioned before in a previous thread

enjoy....hopefully the deals will get better, because these kind of suck

Some Blu-rays at HMV are on 2 for $30.
T2 and Devil's Rejects are both 2 for $30.

HMV deals are a joke

In fact "HMV and deal" goes as well as "amazon.ca and deal."

Apologies for being so negative, but I am tired of getting blu rays late (i.e., 2001 space odyssey) and overpriced (i.e., most if not all of them!.
It's not like we are in other continent...

Thank God for amazon.com , my favorite and PRIMARY source of high-def disks.

Yeah they do. If you guys have a Willow Games around your area you should check it out, they got titles for 19.99, and they do returns so they got used titles for cheaper

i went to 4 stores a few days ago to look at prices for blu ray in montreal

best buy , futureshop, hmv , metro video

metro video > futureshop > best buy > hmv

hmv is ridiculously expensive whereas metro video was the cheapest. i was actually really surprised

they have weekly deals on dvds blurays ( i saw about 6 blu ray) some def. old titles but i'm sure could interest some. most blu ray i saw were from 20-33

I would mostly agree but you need to look around, for example Edward Scissorhands was (and might still be) something like 40$ at Metro but part of the 2 for 50$ at HMV so an incredibly good deal. Like ryoohki pointed out for Fox HMV is the place to look because they are reasonably priced at HMV (most are 2 for 50) while less reasonably priced everywhere else (even Amazon)

I haven't paid any duty/customs fees through amazon... (so far, at least!)

this is an awful deal, most the movies that are 2 for 50, you can get cheaper everywhere else, HMV is the worst for this, they guilt you in to buying 2 movies
