Default Tin Man?

I see the Tin Man DVD will be out soon, but I don't see ANYTHING about blu-ray. I haven't seen it yet, but definitely want to grab it, but not on DVD. Anyone know if it will be out on the blu?

Not as of now it won't. Anyone heard anything about this show? Is it any good? I'm thinking about renting it at my work tomorrow.

I personally didn't think it was anything great. Worth a rental...maybe.

I saw the entire series, and it was alright. Actually, interesting is the word I think best describes it. It's an interesting take on The Wizard of Oz with a B-list cast. Nothing to write home about.

I actually liked it. It's more of a darker story than the orginal....Few scenes were kinda lame, but overall, good enough to buy imo.

It was the kind of thing you watch, and ask yourself "Why am I watching this?" And then you just keep watching it. And I don't know why. I've never had that happen to me before. I either like something, or I don't... but I was(am still) genuinely confused as to whether I liked it or not. Interesting is the perfect word to describe it.

I felt kind of the same way about it. It was too long and slow moving in parts. But there were definitely some interesting aspects, and the ending was decent.

I haven't seen it, but my wife really enjoyed it and asked for it for Christmas (she didn't know when it was coming out). I'll pick it up for her, I'd be shocked if it came out on Blu anytime soon--or ever.

Default Horrible!

I would highly recommend that you do not rent it and definately do not buy it. I can't think of anything I have ever seen that has worse acting than this. Their take on the story is not any better either. I was excited to see it when it first aired on the SciFi channel, but after it was done, I felt like I wasted several hours of my life that I will never get back. Worst miniseries ever, IMO.

It really wasn't all that good. Some good ideas, especially the take on Scarecrow and the Lion characters, but all in all not that good.

What really surprised me was why they called it 'Tin Man'. To call it 'Tin Man' implies the focus was on the Tin Man character - which it wasn't. He was certainly an important character, but all in all it was kind of a waste.

Bottom line: while made up of some interesting components, it fails to add up to something extraordinary. It's almost as if it was 1/2 of a really good movie. If some had taken the script and then handed it over to a Tim Burton or an American McGee to take it to that next level we might have had something.

I'm sure, of course, many you remember McFarlane's take on The Wizard of Oz or McGee's take on Alice in Wonderland. If you're looking for something in that vein (as I was) you won't find it here.

You obviously never say Neon Genesis Evangeleon. It is a 26 episode series, each episode one hour long, with 2 movies and many games.
After wasting 26 hours of my life watching that dribble I don't think Tin Man is much of a waste.
I liked Tin Man, but I think I would only want to rent it.

I tried to DVR that series, but lost the second episode...so said hell with it. It looks like I didn't really miss out on anything.

What???

It was OK, I mainly watched it for Zooey Dechanel (and that dark hair skinny chick with the pointy nose... she sweet too...). An interesting take on Oz... worth a rental...

Yes I could stare at ZD for hours... she's the Queen of the "mildly surprised deer-in-the-headlights" look. Check her out in "Eulogy"

Cheers, Doc.
