Default DreamWorks waiting for cue from Toshiba on Blu-ray

http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssC...51290220080227

If this has been posted already..sorry.

Quote:
"We have a partnership with Toshiba and have an obligation to see this through," DreamWorks Chief Executive Jeffrey Katzenberg said on Tuesday.

"As you know, we have been well-compensated for our support. It really is in their court at this point to really declare what the next step will be. We're poised either way to jump into the marketplace when the conditions are right to do so," he said

Do you have a picture to prove this? I highly doubt this.

Blu, your going to have to provide a picture, if your going to make those types of claims.

How in the world did you gain access to a back room of Walmart? I can barely find the rest room in those superstores. Are you sure you weren't looking at HD-DVDs or S-DVDs? How well lit was that back room anyway?

I think if Blu is right that the doubters should chip in and get him a Blu-ray movie. If he is wrong he should be banned on the flip side. I am with you Blu, YOUR MY BOY BLU. I seriously believe you, I hope you are right.

I noticed that Amazon put Blu-ray versions of Top Gun, Face Off, and Blades of Glory up, but it says they're unavailable

That's because they haven't received the "ok" from Paramount to begin soliciting preorders.

So it looks like these are the catalog titles that were made but were never sold due to the bribe.

The way I see it... Bee Movie is of no interest to me, and I can wait for their titles honestly. They are the ones that will be losing money for thinking their contract with Toshiba is still valid. Idiots probably never read the fine print or escape clause. But I am fine with not watching their stuff, I have Pixar.
And when they ever get around to releasing on Blu (be it sooner or later) I will look at them, but I can't promise to buy them.

i call crap on bee movie, i used to work walmart electronics while in college a year ago and we would get our movies in no earlier than a week to 2 weeks (pushing it just because of shortage of storage space) amd your claiming as they got something not even announced yet 3 weeks before the dvd release date....sounds fishy. they ship stuff only a week before release date to keep from hitting floor space

There's a guy with 1600 posts that's been here less than a month . . . don't mean nothin'. I don't mean that to be a slash against Blu's credibility as I really have little interest either way, so . . . just a little disclaimer.

Hehe . . . apparently Blu Beard is no longer here . . . he was the one I was talking about. Don't know what happened to him.

This does sound fishy. I would like to see Transformers sooner rather than later.

exactly posts do not equal credibility. this is the word of a guy who says there are movies and doesnt have any way to prove it. borrow a camera from the photo lab and take a pic or something

Then someone would accuse him of photoshopping the pic.
