Arrow Skyfall Box Office Thread

Skyfall will make its North American Debut on 11/9/2012. The film had a huge $77 million opening in overseas markets, which includes $32.4 million from the UK (up from the $25.3 raked by Quantom of Solace). Skyfall should set a Bond series record with a North American debut of $75 million or moew . What is your guess?

Just, Fyi the domestic opening record for Bond films is $67.5 million by Quantom of Solace. I do think Skyfall will debut with a new opening record . It is a much anticipated film and will have ZERO competition.

Even though Skyfall clearly looks better, I wonder if the disappointment of Quantum of Solace will cause people to wait for the word-of-mouth.

I think it will do 75 to 80.

The word of mouth generated by us Brits is that Skyfall is the best goddamn Bond film in 20 years and it rocks! Banish any thought that it is as mediocre as Quantum and prepare to see a Bond film directed by an Oscar-winning film director! Saw it saturday and it was fantastic!

It's going to make a killing. I know that much.

Hell, my cinema was nearly filled to capacity on the opening night.

My vote is between $70-80m, it could be higher but considering the US market seems to be down lately I'd guess it will be on the low end.

It should be able to get around $70-80 million. I don't think it will be much higher than that, but I think the film will be pretty stable and it will end up around $180 million in the US as the #1 bond of all-time
