Question Does my rig have enough muscle to watch and burn Blu Rays ? (specs inside)

I was thinking of buying the following Blu Ray drive to watch movies on my PC and burn Blu Ray backups

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

My rig is as follows

Operating System: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
Motherboard: ECS P965T-A
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 6400 @ 2.13GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Graphics card: Radeon 5600 1GB DDR5

Does my rig have enough muscle to watch and burn Blu Rays ?.

Thanks in advance

You should have no problem with playback with that hardware, and compressing/burning videos might just take longer with those specs. I'm not sure about the Windows XP (I've only used 7), so I'll let someone else answer that one.

the burner/player & software for it will tell you the minimum spec's needed to function. they also usually tell you the recommended spec's too. as long as your at the minimum and better yet at or above the recommended, then your fine.

i'm saying, read the spec's of the hardware & software to answer your question. truth is that's all you really need to get your answer.

Thanks Guys

That drive is OEM, doesn't come with any software and Pioneers website dont even have any details on that exact model

Would this drive be a better choice ?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-BH10LS38-.../dp/B005SNHWZU

Says it support XP SP3, but doesn't go into much more detail then that when it comes to hardware requirements.

Ive already got Nero 9 on my PC so I'm sorted for burning (assuming my PC can handle it).
