The Yanks are the most over-hyped team in any sport of all time.

They haven't won a World Series since 2000. And before their mini-run, they didn't win one for 16 years.

The Yanks have lost in two World Series since 2000 and have blown it in the playoffs.

They're a good team, but not great like they are portrayed, which honestly is shocking given all the money spent and players acquired.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this game, so I can finally take the Mariners into the promised land.

What would be the point? The game would cheat and make sure Pitt wins.

(Just like everyone knows the Seahawks were the real winner of the SB and not the Sucksberg Steelers)

Gee...let me go find the two GIFs I used to have saved...one was Derek Jeter kissing A-Rod and the other was A-Rod humping his bat at home plate...

Yankee fans are used to the constant hate on the most successful sports franchise in history. You can't bother us.

I will be picking this game up on release day, but I suck at batting. Is there a trick i'm missing? Do you have to guess where the pitch is to hit it?

Keyword there being "history."

As to batting, I wish there was a trick. One thing that's helping me go from 1 hit per game to 2 or 3 (LOL) is the L3 button (or is it R3, I forgot now).

Anyway, press this button between pitches. It will show you what happen on the last pitch with your swing. For example, it might say you swung way too early and too low.

I'm waiting for it to say that I suck and should take up bunting instead.

For me its easy, I focus on the pitcher only and not the batter I know it seems elementary but in the past I would look from behind the batter to the mound...now I only see the batter from my pereferial(sp?) vision...

I think a big mistake a lot of people make is to always swing with the square button for the power swing...don't do that.

Possibly. I use the X and only the square when I see a pitch that matches my specs (and when I really, really need something big).

No use using the square with your beginning and ending of the lineup guys. They don't have much pop anyway.

For me, the problem is just timing. I tend to swing early, but in the right area. Once I have the game and start playing, it should be fine.

Really? There are three teams that come out of the East (Celtics, Pistons, Cavs). So since they have a 1/3 chance of getting to the finals, I'd call them a threat.

BINGO! Square gives you a much higher chance of completely missing the ball or making poor contact and dribbling out to the shortstop. With the Sox I only use square with Ortiz, Rameriz, Lowell, Drew, and sometimes Varitek (as long as I guess pitch correctly). If you miss the guess pitch and you got two strikes, you hit with x no matter if pujols, a-rod, or howard are up.

The other problem people have is hitting with X all the time. I played against my brother who had no clue to use square, he was like, "there aren't many home-runs in this game".
