Final Season - Battlestar Galactica - Blu-ray Forum

Ok, I admit it, i ended getting hooked on Battlestar Galactica. Now Season 4, the Final Episodes, begin on the SciFi Channel in early April. I have DirecTV HD DVR and will be recording this final season. I did not have an HD DVR for the first three seasons and I would like to have the entire Four Season Collection in High Definition. Does anyone here know where I can aquire the first three seasons in HD ?

I have seen season 1 HD-DVD box sets at Circuit City for around 100 bucks.

I have no idea if they're planning a Blu-Ray release. You'd think they would be, but then they've been VERY slow in getting the regular DVD box sets out. It may be another year or two after the series ends that we finally get them all on Bluray.

Which is a shame, because it really is a GREAT show and the picture quality just doesn't hold up with the standard DVD's on a large TV.

I don't think season 3 is out on DVD or HD DVD. I heard they are gonna push it out right as season 4.0 starts. Oh, I bought it off iTunes and use my AppleTV but don't tell anyone I own one.

Universal HD channel is re-playing the whole series I believe. They started with the original mini-series. Not sure how far they are into the first season (maybe second). It normally airs on Saturday nights. Hopefully the will put it out on Blu.

Season 3 of BG on SD comes out on March 18th. Amazon.com has it for $38.99.

Oh man!!!!! i didnt realize that the final season is happening this year

thats a bummer. i really thought they could make more seasons...

The final episodes of BSG will air in 2009. They only filmed half of the season because of the writers strike.

I just started watching the series a couple of weeks ago and I'm hoping to catch up before the final 10 episodes.

That's plenty of time for Universal to get the season boxsets out so I can get caught up.

Seasons 1, 2 (there are 2 DVD sets for this season), and 3 are available now. There's also a movie called Razor, which came out between seasons 3 and 4.

Universal hasn't released any of the BSG season sets on Blu-Ray yet.
