well i have a question people.
please forgive me if some one already posted this thread. well ok im a noob on audio for home theater and i am trying to purchase a sony av receiver that is 660 watts and i want to get some sony brand speakers also but the problem is that the watts on the speakers add up more than the wattege of the receiver. the tottal wattage of the speakers together is 890 watts..!! and the receiver can only out put 660 watts. is that ok or do i have to purchase some amplifier with my receiver? when i looked at the information of the sony speakers at sony.com it said the book shelf speakers can max out 120 watts. now is that 120 watts for both the 2 speakers or is it 120 watts per speaker? please help im a newby so im just trying to learn |
