Default Run All Night

Quote:
Liam Neeson in Talks to Star in Thriller THE ALL NIGHTER

Liam Neeson is adding yet another crime thriller to his resume. The Wrap reports that the Taken actor is currently in negotiations to topline the thriller The All Nighter (aka Run All Night). Should he sign on, Neeson would play “an aging hit man who, in order to protect his wife and son, must take on his former boss in a single night.” He then finds himself on the run from the mob with his estranged son in tow. The story isn’t exactly a Taken ripoff, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t like to see Neeson branch out more (he was fantastic in The Grey).

It appears that the project is currently without a director, but Brad Ingelsby’s spec script was acquired early this year for a large sum. Neeson is currently filming a role in Crash director Paul Haggis’ ensemble drama Third Person, after which he’ll reteam with Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra for the airplane thriller Non-Stop. He’s also set to star in Scott Frank’s actioner A Walk Among the Tombstones and he recently committed to voicing a role in the animated feature Lego: Piece of Resistance.

A good actor but wasting his talents on much lesser films.

In your opinion. I like a lot of the thrillers and action films he's made, on top of his excellent dramatic roles.

Y'know, I'd never heard of this movie but the minute and second I saw the header, I thought, "O-kayy, who kidnapped his family THIS time?... "

I can appreciate that grumpy/edgy classically-trained actors secretly like to do "American-style" action thrillers, so they can have the camera on them to look grumpier and edgier. But Liam, you've put yourself on the slippery slope to typecasting, and the greased ramp's going 65mph.
I won't pretend that you LIKED Star Wars or Narnia, but between those and this, I know which of the choice I'd rather watch.

Looks cool, I'm in. I know Neeson gets a lot of flack for making a lot of "old skilled badass" movies, but he's good at it and I usually enjoy those movies. This looks good, so I'll be seeing it.

Not a fan of what I've seen, looks a bit embarrassed to be what it is when they should of embraced the silliness of the premise.

Two of my favorites - Neeson and Harris. Looks badass. I'm all over that one. Also, nice to see Vincent D'Onofrio too.

Does the world deserve such magnificence though? Are we worthy?

So, has this been renamed to "run all night"?

Tired of the same recycled choices Neeson is making again and again to please the American audiences this ageing hit man routine is getting boring now.

I'm sure Liam Neeson isn't tired of his bank balance being pumped up by these movies, audiences seem to want them.
