Default "Luck" The Complete First Season

This set is coming out next week (the 27th) courtesy of HBO and I can not find a damn thing regarding any sort of special features for the set. I know at one point it was pure rumor but, I read someone or maybe it was in an interview with David Milch but, there are some episodes they did for a potential season two and they might make the set. I somehow doubt that it actually happened, but if anyone can do any digging or find a review that would be great.

I thought I'd read when they cancelled the show that they had no intention of ever showing the Season 2 episodes.

It was canned during the filming of season 2, to my knowledge atleast two episodes were completed, I think. I cannot cite the source from where I remember this but I'm pretty sure it's true. I'm pretty sure Milch stated in an interview after the cancellation he hoped they would include the episodes on the set.

I can't believe that this won't be the typical $34.99 HBO price. I really wanted to pick this one up, but not at the outrageous $50 price tag...

With the amount of money they lost on the series it's not surprising. I too am waiting for the inevitable price drop. A good show that only got better with each episode. It deserved better.

I can't find any information about the special features included on this. Does anyone already own this? What did HBO include? I would appreciate any information a great deal. Also, what is the packaging like?

I loved the show, and would've been able to help guys out.. BUT the fcuking price is nuts for an 9 episode season. As much as I love the show, no fcuking way on the price.

Not to mention we aren't even getting whatever they filmed for a second season as far as I know.

I highly doubt that we get the unaired season 2 episodes but can anyone confirm this? Or any of the special features for that matter?

It did offer at least some closure to the season's plot arc, enough for me to buy it when the price is cut in half at least . . .

This was a brilliant piece of television and one of the best new shows of 2012, so I see no point in not buying this.

I agree with everyone here, though, that the price for only nine episodes is way to high so I'm going to wait, as well.

It's $30 at BB right now with their HBO 50% off sale... Thinking of picking this up at that price.

thanks for reminding me, I completely forgot about the annual best buy HBO sale, picked it up for 29.99, used reward certificates and got it for nothing, I'll review it as soon as possible.

In lieu of anyone commenting on the US set, I can tell you more or less what's on the Australian (I highly doubt special features were done only for us) as after reading this thread I made a point of checking it out in store today. There's a behind the scenes piece, another feature with some of the actors (I think the group of regular punters), and something on racing in general. Also, and probably most importantly, three audio commentaries. Sorry for being vague, but I'm going from memory (I intend to buy the US set when I'm there next week) but I figure this is a useful start on this question.

$29.99 @ Best Buy, blu-ray version, limited time, get it while the getting is good. Wal-Mart has the regular DVD version for $50.00 or so.
