I have no problem blind buying movies. I notice that it becomes a larger part of my purchases when there are good really good deals. In those cases I easily justify a blind buy.
What did you blind buy over the Black Friday Friday (Cyber Monday) Week that was a blind buy for you? Here are my blind buys:

I bought that as well. Granted I saw it in theaters and loved it. Too bad it was not given a wide release. |

I seldom buy any Blus that I don't think I will want to watch several times or usually more than once a year. That makes blind buys relatively scarce for me. For those that I can't find a way to see first, I at least scan the reviews and the plot descriptions to see if it is likely to be something that fits my taste. I find that less likely now than it used to be but every once in a while I am pleasantly surprised. I did just buy the 1975 Zorro but even then, I really like most of the versions I have seen, read the reviews and watched some clips of scenes on Utube. These days, there is seldom a need to buy completely blind.
I think taking someone else's word for what is good is a dicey proposition but FWIW, you can't go wrong with Firefly. Last edited by Spitfrnd; 11-27-2012 at 12:42 AM. |
