India/Bollywood The worst movie you have ever seen

What is the worst movie you have ever seen? You can list one Hollywood(this includes independent films as well) and one Indian movie.

I have to go with Trespass starring Nicolas Cage. It's a home inavasion flick. I didn't expect greatness from this film but I didn't expect to be so bored that I would end up turning it off! The story goes nowhere and just when things seem to be coming to a close, it resets and goes back to square one. That's when I realised that the movie was only halfway done! At one point, Cage's daughter successfully trips the burglar alarm and the perps receive a call from the security company asking for the secret code. They stall by saying they forgot and force the girl to tell the operator the code...and that's it. The operator senses nothing is wrong and hangs up!

It reminded me of this South Park episode:

The movie was so boring that I turned it off. That never happened to me before and I watched some really bad movies.

I don't hate movies that are shitty for the sake of making money, I hate the ones that are shitty because they have their heads up their asses over how clever / innovative they are. In this respect:
Anything by Madhur Bhandarkar
Road, Movie + Split Wide Open
Monsoon Wedding
Ghostworld
Batman Begins

Batman Begins? Is this because of the water vaporiser?

I actually like Begins much more than TDK(which I think is pretty average).

ravenus- To my liking, some of the films you've mentioned here are very fine films, and would alternatively show up on my "best of" list.

First and foremost, my definition of a "great" film is one that depicts new and interesting ideas about the world we live in. A film, without being didactic, able to progress humanity as a whole. Adversely, my definition of the "worst" film is that of a "dangerous" film. A film that pretends to be intelligent and deep simply so that it can stylize and glamourize depravity and violence. It offers nothing on an intellectual level but pseudo-intellectual psychobabble, and from an entertainment standpoint, its about as enjoyable as a root canal.

LOC, Waqt(1965), Delhi-6, Paanch & Shaitan.

^^ Wow.. two of my favourites.. One being a classic example of a Masala Big Bollywood Film and the other being a film that has depth which speaks to the audience. But that doesn't mean everyone has to feel the same

+1. Very true. Its just me. For me these two are poles apart and the ultimate extremes of how much depth should there be in any film and they cross all limits of my patience for that

I think...
'KKKG' is very overrated film for Bollywood-goer.
Sometimes I argued lots of my (Bollywood-goer)fellows. But still I don't understand, does this film really teach family value?
It's just tear-jerk film. And also I've never seen 'in depth review' of this film.

Just people applaud famous masala sequence, acting, saying "I cried watch this film it's masterpiece",
but those are just particle, I don't think those couldn't make value of the film.

(Whenever I said) My fellows told me "don't judge like a critics, it's just entertain!"
Such a logic, I didn't feel any interesting in this film. So "KKKG" is bad film for me. haha

Filthy is a lot more colorful but his opinion on this film pretty much says what I want to:

The absolute worst movie I have ever seen is A*P*E(1976), directed by Paul Leder. Honorable mentions: The Mighty Gorga(1969) and Curse Of The Swamp Creature(1966).

I usually don't watch movies that I know are going to be really bad...but one movie which won the Pulitzer Prize, had a lot of good buzz and had one of my favorite actors (Viggo Mortensen) left me completely bored and disappointed- The Road

Hmm... people don't like "Shaitan"
After watching that, lots of my fellows thumbs down, only I gave 5 stars (out of five)

Worst Recent Hindi Movie: Bodyguard/Mausam (Joint Winners).
These movies hit you on so many different levels, that you are forced to think what was the director thinking?
