Resident Evil: Damnation, Steelbook Interest Check! - Blu-ray Forum

Here's the deal, we have a Steelbook release for each Resident Evil movie in this franchaise but Sony/Capcom seems to have (sofar) forgot the Damnation movie

I'm very interested in seeing Damnation getting the Steelbook treatment aswell to complete my RE collection so i thought why not do a small survey, if we can generate enough buzz about this i have a hunch that we can make this happen

If it seems to be enough interest i will forward this both to my contact at Scanavo and Sony/Capcom.

REMEMBER! Spread this on every forum you're sitting on, the more people showing their interest in this the higher chance there is to actually see this happen

Luckily we dont think the same

If we can show the studio there is enough interest in this to happen then we still have a chance at it. You're not obligated to buy anything if you're on the list so if you are interested just sign up, it takes less than 1min of your life.

Combine all the diffrent Steelbook forums we have today and we should easily have enough members to make us heard

Though with the attitude "this wont work", well, then it wont work

I am happy you took notice in this. I want my collection complete, I do not want all the other movies in Steelbook cases and then Damnation sandwiched in the middle in a regular case. I signed form and voiced my opinion. I hope it works someday :/

I"m pretty sure WM isn't going to bother with RE SB's anymore seeing how bad the prior one's they had exclusive sold (I'm pretty sure that WM passed on the RE Retribution SB).

i agree, but, perhaps they should have (if the supplier would allow) buy in much smaller numbers and make sure it says one of those "limited to 3,000" deals or something like that. I bet they wouldn't have a problem selling them out then.

of course, they are a volume store so, there might go that!

Like I said, WM won't bother with it. Perhaps BB or Target.

I've never even heard of this DAMNATION movie. It sounds like a direct-to-video release. If it's already been widely released, you can assume the interest in making a SteelBook for this is nil. I would expect this for free with my RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION movie!

They might not have sold in your area but they sold out quick in my neck of the woods...unless it was a scalper that snatched them all up. I want to get the Resident Evil SBs but I am not going to have all but one be in SB cases.

Not interested on Damnation but did signed it and mention to re-release steelbooks1-4 Resident Evil films for limited time only.

Hey, I'm not sure if you guys know this, but as the movie was being in the process of being released, I read a lot of different things about this film.

For one, this movie was introduced to us in 2010, around, with a release "Coming Soon." Eventually they announced it was going to be in 3D. Still no release date. A year has gone by and nothing really has been updated.

Eventually a release date was released, which was in 2012, so this movie was/has been under covers/production for almost 2 years. But it's a CGI movie, that's obvious, it takes time and effort to put into the production.

For two, this Blu-Ray/DVD release was actually, initially, released before it's theatrical release (in Japan) which would be shown in it's 3D production format, sometime late 2012/early 2013.

Which means. We still have a 3D release coming. Eventually. This movie was rushed to get out on "Straight to Blu/DVD" because of the fact Retribution was coming out in September. They wanted to gain interest into the CGI series.

Sooner or later, even with the final Resident Evil 6 film, it will be released again for promotion value and we'll most likely see a Steelbook then. I have not purchased this Blu-Ray because I don't want to double dip. Although, I have seen it in Blu-Ray format and it looked amazing!

If there is no Steelbook, I prob will just end up buying the standard Blu-Ray. But that won't be for at least another year or two.
