From what I've read and heard, not as good as the first (if indeed you liked that one).

As someone who rarely notices 3D in movies, yes it is. It's a shame the movie is a turgid piece of shit.

Are you kidding? It's way worse than RE:Retribution, you know what you're getting with the RE movies and if at this point you don't you're an idiot. The Silent Hill movie set the bar pretty high in all areas and this movie just didn't even bother trying, it just shat out a senseless moronic plot full of holes, retcons, and terrible dialog and didn't even try to look like Silent Hill. The RE movies gross big bucks, this barely grossed anything, there's a reason for that.

It was better than R.E: Retribution. Without going into spoilers, it is better.

True, but still not as good as the first film.

I was bracing myself for sheer crap after what I read on the internet, but it actually turned out pretty decent. What I didn't like though was
[Show spoiler]the darkness moving out of Silent Hill.

I pre-ordered from HMV, it's 50p cheaper.

Well, I hated the video game for Silent Hill 3, but liked the film adaption.

hahaha your serious! I know what im getting with RE! and silent hill 2 is easier that RE: retribution it isnt a contest, it just is. RE 5 is horrendous and tedious movie to watch its a borefest, worst of the bunch! the previous 4 were great fun! apply exactly what you said about silent hill 2 to this film ''it just shat out a senseless moronic plot full of holes'' also the dialogue hhahahaha my god re 5 was horrific!!

silent hill 2 isnt as good as first, it isnt even fantastic film....but it is better than RE 5!

The French Bluray release of Silent Hill (the first one) is one of the best Bluray releases so far, in my opinion. It was supervised by the director himself. The PQ and AQ are top notch, I would say 5/5 for both. The set has 2 discs, both region free and the whole set is English-friendly. MOUNTAIN of extras also. I own this set and it is by far my favourite release as of today.

I have a brand new spare copy of it if you should want to buy it off me.

I agree, the move is very forgetful.
I was very excited to see it but ended up being quite lame.

I gave up on RE movies after the 3rd!

This ended up never being released at cinemas here in Australia, despite it originally having a date listed for release months before. I really enjoyed the 1st film and was looking forward to seeing this, so if it doesn't hit Aussie cinemas before the blu is releases overseas then I will just import it instead, which will be cheaper than buying 2 cinema tickets anyway.

You mean this version?

[edit] Wow! €14.99 roughly translates to £12. Yet Amazon UK has it listed for £21.04.
It's cheaper to order from France even if you have to pay for postage. [/edit]

How does the French transfer compare to the US release? The PQ of the US only received 2 out of 5!
