Default Best and Worst Performances of 2012

What are your best/worst favorite/least favorite performances of 2012? If you think there's a difference between the two options, state which one. I think this deserves it's own thread, as it's not the same as oscar predictions.

Best
Sam Rockwell in Seven Psychopaths
Daniel Day Lewis in Lincoln
Michael Fassbender in Prometheus
Marion Cotillard in Rust and Bone
Parker Posey in Price Check
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Smashed
Naomi Watts in The Impossible

Worst
Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises (I know, I'm in the minority.)
Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Hunstman
Blake Lively in Savages

*Have not seen: Django Unchained, The Master, Les Miserables, Silver Linings Playbook.

you know, i just don't get this movie. I haven't seen it because the trailer just makes it seem uninteresting as hell but we have seen this sort of movie tons of times before - enemy becomes friend in order to survive unless I am mistaken. maybe it is good but it just looks like one of those movies where the right person said it was good and people want to look cool and are agreeing with them.

I can't really say much about which stars did good or bad as i have only seen a handful of movies this year(not a whole lot that grabbed my attention) but what about movies that under performed. they were promoting the hell out of the remake of Red Dawn and from what i heard, it just bombed at the box office - like half of its budget. it seems this year that either you did rather good at the box office or you were a bomb - no real inbetween movies. but i could be wrong here.

Michael Fassbender - Shame (2012 in my country)

Well, one amusing line hardly saves that mess of a performance, but I will admit I did smile when that was said.
