whats the fair price for a 1 year old epson 8350?

The retail price is still about $1300, and many places still sell at that price, but it's not too hard to find the projector below $1000, even new; look for used sales on ebay or even sites like videogon.com for reference. Not many projectors at the $1500 range have lens shift or the flexibility of the Epson 8350.

A used one at $700-$800 sounds fair, depending how much of the warranty is used and how long the bulb is used.

warranty is void, Epson does not allow transfers of warranties for the 8350.

and the bulk hours on it would be a big factor. if it's under a 1000 hours he might get $600-$700 for it... but any less........ I see them go for $350 - $450 all the time on craigslist with between 1000-2000 hours on them.

$899 refurbished at epson site. they have discounts occasionally too.
