Why do you not run the Blu-ray's to the end instead of using bottles of water?

Did all those water bottles have anything to do with the ruined slipcover water and electronics don't mix!

But joking aside, I like the uniformity of that setup.
I'm just not enough of a "collector" to keep the slipcovers if I go that way. For me, they'll either be on the movie or in the trash. Or I guess sold if someone really wants them. But that's just me, like I said it looks solid.

I like uniformity myself. I don't care for slip and I make cover art from the digibooks and box sets with blu-ray cases that I buy on ebay (I hate how you have to tear up discs from boxes). I keep the originals in a box in case I sold it some day so they stay mint.

Good-looking collection there!

Incidentally, one of the first things I did after buying a Blu-ray Player and HDTV was to purchase some Dynex BD cases from Best Buy. I'll be buying a lot of my BDs from a used store, and some of them are in rough condition, so it's good to have new plastic cases on hand for replacement.

I have to wonder why the bottles as well. If you wanted to keep it that way, then why not purchase some cheap bookends?

I think it looks nice. I don't display my Blu-rays on the shelf with slipcovers either. I'm not obsessed with them in the first place, but it saves me from the aggrevation of worrying about getting releases with no slipcover or a damaged slipcover.

It'll be interesting to see if slipcovers increase in value as time goes on. I know they've been around since DVD's but interest seems to have really taken off with Blu-ray. Same with the steel books

Looks good, except for the sea of Blue, which can't realy be helped unless you get different cases.

Probably because it would leave one of the bottom shelves half full

Not sure if that is a serious response.
