Do the Aperion Verus sound as good as the reviews make of them?
All owners seem quite happy but wondering if your view of them is similar to the glorious reviews these speakers get everywhere? Edit: one main point they all make is these could and should be compared to speakers twice their price ![]() |

Dont know about the whole twice the price, but I have gone from Polk RTiA9's to GoldenEar Triton Two's, then Axiom Audio M80, all with the matching center channels and I can say that my Verus Grand Towers and Center beat them all hands down. I don't have the money to just buy new ones whenever I want, I had to make sure and sell all my old ones first, so I can that have stopped looking for speakers I have what I want now. Have the volume and the clairty which is something that all the others could not produce.

Well you've tried quite a few lately so you still can see the build quality, their tweeter that seems to be 1 of the things it has going for it (said to be a tweeter that has no dead zones, sounds awesome at any levels, going to mad loud), so you can still give a quick compare.

If you know the Mission mid 90s to early 2000 signature sound, you know what I mean. I can't really describe as I don't have to vocabulary |

I had them at the beginning of the summer, but for some reason they looked grey, not the flat black that they are now. I also was running them off my Onkyo 805 and they sounded very bright and thin. Since then I got an Onkyo 818 and the diff is night and day! The type of receiver absolutely makes a diff on these speakers. Especially how revealing they are.
