Default Question to owners

Do the Aperion Verus sound as good as the reviews make of them?

All owners seem quite happy but wondering if your view of them is similar to the glorious reviews these speakers get everywhere?

Edit: one main point they all make is these could and should be compared to speakers twice their price

Dont know about the whole twice the price, but I have gone from Polk RTiA9's to GoldenEar Triton Two's, then Axiom Audio M80, all with the matching center channels and I can say that my Verus Grand Towers and Center beat them all hands down. I don't have the money to just buy new ones whenever I want, I had to make sure and sell all my old ones first, so I can that have stopped looking for speakers I have what I want now. Have the volume and the clairty which is something that all the others could not produce.

It's hard to tell when you can't compare side to side. But the Aperion's are very nice sounding.

Well you've tried quite a few lately so you still can see the build quality, their tweeter that seems to be 1 of the things it has going for it (said to be a tweeter that has no dead zones, sounds awesome at any levels, going to mad loud), so you can still give a quick compare.

That's kind of a tough question. I never cranked the speakers. I'd love to have 3 or 4 pairs of speakers in my house to compare.

Fair enough, Guess I just got really curious about them and all the praise they get and as an 'audiophile speaker' that does everything very well

The thing is I'm very early shopping since it won't be before minimum next summer. Right now I have a 5.1 Mission setup. I realize as my listening habits have changed a lot since I purchased these and have a nice PC setup that sounds real good and good cans, that I'm wanting something different for speakers, not that I'd have any problems selling mine to help fund.

If you know the Mission mid 90s to early 2000 signature sound, you know what I mean. I can't really describe as I don't have to vocabulary

I've never heard the Missions.. What speakers have you listened to so far? I can describe the Aperions all day,but we will probably hear diff things. The only way to know for sure is to try them out.

Does Aperion ever have sales? Just curious if the Verus speakers can be had at a lower price.

I know there is a selection of "B" stock and I'm sure there must be some "open box" sets. I wouldn't think they would take a set of speakers that somebody returned in the 30 trial period, and try to sell them as new "a" stock. Give them a call they are super easy to deal with.

As far as I know, they don't normally have sales,I think because they order as they get orders, that's why they are normally behind. They are very nice speakers tho.

I had them at the beginning of the summer, but for some reason they looked grey, not the flat black that they are now. I also was running them off my Onkyo 805 and they sounded very bright and thin. Since then I got an Onkyo 818 and the diff is night and day! The type of receiver absolutely makes a diff on these speakers. Especially how revealing they are.
