Anyone having issues redeeming on flixster? - Blu-ray Forum

I tried to do a movie last night and a different movie today and got the same result. I get to the third step after entering the code and it wants me to click continue but nothing happens. =(

I have in past with internet explorer. Switching to firefox or Chrome usually does the trick.

Flixster in general has ongoing issues.

You tried redeeming it through VUDU instead?

I had a similar problem a few days ago, I think it was on the page that had the "create a new account" on the left and "sign in to an existing acct" on the right. I tried logging into my old account but couldn't hit the continue button. After a while it left me retype my password and continue on.

I had issues yesterday getting anything to load or show up once I had redeemed. Today it seems to be working. Maybe a lot of people were hitting the site yesterday. What I'd like to know is, is there any way to sort the flixster movies you have in the app? It drives me nuts they're all just kind of randomly in there by when they were added.

I've had severe problems over the past three days at various times, getting codes entered at Flixster.

I can't redeem a single movie on flixster for the last two weeks at least, so I used vudu instead for 3 or 4 movies I recently got. I gave up after sending flixster a few emails and getting nowhere with customer support. I still have one movie left to redeem but the code is only good on flixster, and I get undefined error. Not a huge deal I guess, but would be nice if they could sort out their issuses so people can actually redeem movies.

I hate Flixster with a passion, they seem to take though as they do appear in the uv account but not flixster immediately. vudu is spot on and works great

I gave up on Flixster a few months ago. It was always locking out, not finishing downloads properly, or refused to play the titles. I have been using VUDU since November and I much prefer it especially since I can now download the titles in HDX with my new computer.

Flixster is my only option if I want to download the movie onto my ipad. The vudu app is really barebones with only a streaming option. Flixster is really buggy though, but it does work.

Vudu announced this week that their iOS app will get downloads for offline viewing next month:

Took me a bit to find a thread(useless search engine) about Flixster and glad to know I'm not the only one that is having issues with the site. Seems if I'm not looking at it on my phone or through the Facebook page it gets a bit buggy on both IE and Firefox(my default browser). Wondering how this is going to be once I start using my UV copies? Is it just easier to just download things on iTunes than use UV/Flixster?

I think UV would be sunk if it was based on the success of Flixster. Most everyone I know that likes UV likes it because of VUDU.
Many of us just redeem everything on VUDU, and only venture over to Flixster if there is no other choice- and then only long enough to go back to redeem something then leave. Even the Cinemanow app works better for watching things now then the Flixster apps do for me.

I use the flixster site to see if a given title is streaming somewhere for free, too, I guess.

Flixster is an awful website, where the servers are seemingly down all the time. Vudu is infinitely easier to use and far more reliable.

I agree that flixster is a nightmare at the moment. My main issues are that i cant download half of my movies because of a error but i can stream them fine. The movies i can download i cant stream , its so ridiculous. At least there is an alternative like VUDU for you americans , for me i have no choice but to suffer flixster , which is a shame because i love the concept of UV over the old apple digital copy.

For the past week I have been having an issue with Flixster and, as per usual, their customer service people have been nonexistent in helping me. I was hoping someone here might have some insight on the issue and could help me. So, when I try to login to the Flixster app for Android, the app won't load my movies because of an error saying "Server API Problem". Also, when I login to their website to view my collection, only about 136/204 movies show up, and the top of the screen says I own "NaN movies" instead of the actual number. Has anyone else had this problem before? Or does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Here's what I've tried so far:

-clearing cache on app
-uninstall/reinstall app
-changing Facebook login status on phone/computer
-unlink/relink ultraviolet account
-view movies on different flixster login ( linked to same UV account)

None of this has worked so far. Is this maybe an issue because of the amount of UVs I have? I did hit the 200 mark right when this happened. Any thoughts?

Is the size of your collection possibly taking up too much memory in your phone's RAM? Does this problem occur when you log into Flixster through a computer?

Flixster's servers do seem to have problems with regularity.

That could be part of the issue, since my phone has seen better days. But I don't think that would remedy the issue associated with the website not showing all of my movies, being stuck in a constant "Checking Ultraviolet for new movies" state and only showing about 2/3 of my movies. I'll see if I can clear up some processing room on my phone and see if that helps.
