Default Braveheart and Gladiator, epic moves not on Blu-ray

Does anyone know why Braveheart and Gladiator have not made it to Blu-Ray? These movies are among the best ever and cant figure out why it is taking so long for them to make it to Blu-Ray. Any thoughts?

Braveheart is a Paramount title and Gladiator is a Dreamworks title (in NA anyhow). Braveheart is coming to Blu overseas soon. I would imagine that it'll come too NA soon.

People! We all have to be patient. The format war is long gone and the movies people have been waiting for will be released shortly before you know it.

As a dual format owner I have been waiting for these titles for some time. I agree if the over seas release is region free I will definitely have to import this title.

Oops. I thought these great films won't make it to Blu-ray. Better to rephrase the subject.

Your right, every single good movie should be released right away, so that on March 11th, we can purchase over 2000 bds at the same time. Every has the money to do this right?

Thumbs up

And let's not forget:

First syllable:
Rhymes with "Fran's"

Second syllable:
Rhymes with "Norm"

Last syllable:
Sounds like "oars"

Put it all together and you get:

"Fran'sNormOars"

You know what movie I'm talking about.

When is "Fran'sNormOars" coming out on BD?

Paramount? Hello? Is anybody there?

"Fran'sNormOars" -- yeah. I'll take it!

Both movies (Braveheart and Gladiator) play havoc with history. Braveheart is the worst culprit though. Total absolute historical rubbish in the case of Braveheart.

Commodus (Gladiator) was not slain by Maximus... it was a wrestler that was hired to do that job. Historically the movie "The fall of the Roman Empire" was better, but this even screwed up the demise of Commodus.

Gladiator is a must buy for me. Braveheart is a definite one to avoid.

Mel Gibson is a total .............. !!!

Hell Yes I am waiting for that too! I wouldn't mind getting the movie in your avatar either. I haven't seen it in a few years...I'm laughing about when Nat Nerd was peeing himself and they're all disappointed in him and he says "Gee I thought it was funny." It's so stupid, but it makes me laugh.

Braveheart (Paramount)
Gladiator (Universal)

Both Paramount and Universal were HD DVD exclusive.
