Default DVD Empire is 79.46% Blu for the week.

I wish I could post the "Imperial March" theme song here. I think it would be fitting. I think we all made the right choice.

I just noticed that. I thought it was interesting that the month wasn't even 3 to 1 but the week is right at 4 to 1. That seems to indicate that the sales gap is widening.

Excellent, I'm sure HD-DVD will hang on throughout the year, but I really hope they are gasping for breath by the fall.

I thought "Children of..", Happy Feet, were selling well at Amazon. Feet is still ahead of GO BLU at Amazon?

Wow is right! MAN, I'll be so happy when it hits 85%(+)

I Wonder what the months sales will look like. Since you know, Children of Men seemed to be doing well. Not sure it was 100,000 copies well, but we'll see.

At this moment it is 50 and 51 for the two.

Look what happened when Amazon put 46 BD titles on sale. The top 10 average became 35. And, that looks to have been all caused by less than 10K in units selling.

HD DVD has so much pent up demand for titles from the previous 2-3 months, I'm surprised it isn't doing a heck of a lot better.

I cannot wait until the first studio changes sides from neutral to Blu Ray.

One thing to keep in mind is the sales rank history. Comparing Happy Feet side by side, HD came out lower around the low 30's while BR came out around the mid 40's. They're both around 50 right now which means BR has only dropped about 5 while HD has dropped about 20.

If you look at the Departed, BR has been fluctuating from 120s to 180s during the last week while HD has been as low as 1000 and high as 240. They don't have sales rank history back to the release date but I believe these both were down around 20-30 so you're seeing the same thing. Both start strong but HD drops off at a faster rate.

I think the more consistent sales rank history for BR titles suggest a growing user base while the spikey nature of HD indicates a smaller base that buys at once and then has a much smaller demand.

Or the last studio to change from HDDVD to BD...that'd work!

Yep! That would be a perfect gift for Christmas. In addition to another 20 Blu-ray movies and a few PS3 games. I have been saving up for about a month; going to double my Blu-ray collection next week.

They don't really update the numbers throughout the week....their weeks are measured from Tue-Mon and they have been the same since they redid them on Tue. It is interesting to see that Blu-ray is leading March by a 70/30 ratio.

Yeah, that number went up on Wed. I believe, so that percentage is probably only counted Tues and/or Wednesday. Still nice though!

sorry if this has been commented on but has any one looked at it lately

i think the pic speaks for its self and that includes the 40% low because of amazon sale
