This will be a day one blind buy for me. I really like both main actors and the subject matter. The trailer looked impressive.

I thought this was a really good cop drama and would recommend it as safe blind buy. The chemistry between Gyllenhaal and Peña was great. I'm not sure I'll pick it up on release day though as I don't see it having much replay value for me. It's definitely worth owning, but I'll look to grab it when it gets around $10-12.

It will most likely be $14.99 on release week at BB with the trade in of a DVD. That's a great price for me. One of the best films of 2012.

I thought this looked like a great film. I wanted to see it in theaters but I couldn't. I always heard good things about it until now. Kenneth's review really gives me pause to get excited.

Well moderate, to low, expectations lead to better results. Hype can ruin experiences with films. But with all that being said, End of Watch was fantastic and fun. I disagree with Kenneth's review, not that it matters.

Excellent movie. Sometimes this site has horrible reviews and this is one of them. Great performances and a really interesting look into the life of police officers.

This site should not review the actual movie since it's all subjective anyways. One man's 5 star movie is another's 1 star movie.

I disagree, as long as the specs are covered it doesn't hurt to have the reviewers opinion on the film itself.

It's not POV for the entire movie. It's a mix.

I don't necessarily agree with the first part but definitely agree with the second.

There are some movies that I was keen to see until they got horrific reviews and when there's only some bad ones I can easily overlook those opinions but when it's almost univeral, passionate hatred towards a movie it's hard not to wonder whether it's worth your time.

David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis is the most recent one that springs to mind although that passionate hatred so many feel for it is actually an incentive for me to see it. However, most think it's a god awful film and that killed my excitement a bit, then sites like this start giving them almost perfect scores and give actual reasons for why they found it so amazing. Reviews like that help regain my excitement. But then there are some that are simply way off or don't offer much of any explanaition as to why they thought it was so bad which I just ignore and focus on the specs.
