Found this interesting. While not talking about Blu specifically, Nolan talks about how “In an era where you can stop [a film], which we've all grown up in now, that changes what you can do with narrative and density of narrative and you don't need as linear a narrative anymore.”

I'm sure he understands his scripts just fine in his head, but Nolan needs to realize the rest of us are not freakin' mind readers and needs to put a little more effort into making his films comprehensible. The style of art seems to be an easy cop out for sloppy continuity, poor editing, and bad scripts in his movies.

I'm a huge fan of Nolan but I'll admit that I find his biggest flaw in scriptwriting is too much exposition, not a lack of.
