I thought Inception Media did a good job on Lady for a Day, I'll likely buy this one as well.

Anybody know if this has been restored to the 80 or 90-minute runtimes from the usual 74-minute version available?

The LADY FOR A DAY Blu-ray looks very nice indeed. And while OUR DAILY BREAD does tend to be a bit heavy-handed at times, a really good 35mm print could help its impact immensely over the typical public domain bargain video copies and beat-up old 16mm dupe prints. Looking forward to it!

I just rewatched it the other day - such a funny and sweet film. Capra does a great job conveying the oddball eccentricities of Runyon's Broadway gamblers, showgirls, and ne'er-do-wells, even if they do use contractions. A simple reaction shot from Ned Sparks can crack me up.

It hasn't been cancelled. Inception Media's announcement of a 4/16 release date was premature. According to the publisher of the disc, the restoration work will not be complete until this summer.

The BD will include everything from the old Image DVD plus Flaherty's The Land, a commentary, and new essay.

oh wow, "only" $40. I mean I know these discs cost $, but it just seems like bd is becoming more expensive with each new exclusive release.
just can't see getting this film at that price.
(I already sprung $50 for the Puppetoon movie)
hope others enjoy it; I'm sure it will be a great disc.

I paid roughly $15 each for two other Inception titles from Import CDs/DD, so I'm not paying any more than that for this one.
