Australia John Carpenter's They Live

Will Shout Factory every release a region B Blu-Ray? The transfer might be a bit weak and inferior to the Italian release, but it has all those extras and a slipcover, plus its still high-def after all. I haven't bought the DVD in hopes that they give us the Blu.

To answer your question, no. I don't think they'll release They Live on region B ever.

There's no excuse for not being able to buy and watch region A movies. Bite the bullet and buy yourself a region free blu-ray player. I did and I haven't looked back. There's no use sitting around whining about how unfair it all is when there's a solution, albiet a less ideal one, sitting right infront of you.

My understanding is that SF only have rights to distribute in the US, Thus having to region lock all their releases.

I have the Italian version and I'm very pleased with it

Perhaps. I don't like being rude but first of all, you ignored what they were asking and gave them the incorrect advice and I was already irritated from the OP's question since the answer is staring them right in the face. Buy a region free blu-ray player, buy whatever movie you want. It's that simple.

I don't feel like buying an entirely new Blu-Ray player just for They Live. Generally 99% of the stuff I like I own or is available to me because its released in region B. Besides, my money is going into a new hobby at the moment, collecting Laserdiscs.
