Problem with Live Free or Die Hard

Hi guys,

Back in November I purchased Live Free or Die Hard and it wouldn't play on my blu-ray player. I got the recent 3.8 firmware update for my Sony BDP-S300 and it uploaded onto my player fine and it's now at version 3.8. However, it still will not play the movie.

Has anybody else had this problem? It's really frustrating. Now I'm worried that No Country for Old Men won't play on it tomorrow. My other movies work fine.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Haven't heard any problems yet about it. It plays fine on my PS3, I know that doesn't help you. Die Hard 2 was the only one I knew having problems.

The disc itself could be bad. Have you played the disc on another BD player?

I just have my player, so I haven't been able to play it on any other one.

I have tried it on my PS3 and on my portable RCA BRC3109. On both machines, this disc (rental) freezes right as the feature starts. I have issues with discs periodically on my PS3. Had it for a few years, figure it needs adjustment/replacement. But when the same thing happens on 2 machines with the same disc, I tend to think it's the disc.
