Written and produced by Luc Besson (Léon: The Professional, Subway). Daniel is a speed-obsessed ex-pizza delivery boy, who drives a custom-built taxi which is so fast that it even evades the police radars. When he unwittingly gives a speedy lift to police officer Emelien Coutan, he is informed that he'll have to give the car up - unless he co-operates with the police, and acts as Emelien's personal driver. Daniel agrees to the deal, and ends up in high-speed pursuit of German thieves.

Exact technical specs, region coding status, and supplemental features to be included with this upcoming release are yet to be revealed.

Does anyone know if this will have English Subtitles? I NEED these Taxi films on Blu-ray

According to this Blu-ray.com entry it's just French only but is that confirmed?

CONFIRMATION:

This is a Region-Free Blu-ray disc, with optional English and French SDH subtitles for the main feature. For the record, there is no problematic PAL or 1080/50i content preceding the disc's main menu.

Our review will be up in 48 hours.

Remembered watching this for the first time many years ago. While the action is great fun, the biggest discovery for me was the very cute (and younger, compare to now) Marion Cotillard.

Would love to get this, hoping it does have English Subs. I have all 4 movies on DVD currently.

Parts 1 & 2 were the best. Part 3 was still good but not quite as good as 1 & 2. Part 4 was ,well, simply put ...no good.

i ordered the French Blu-ray from Amazon.fr and yes it does include the English subtitles and can be played in the USA.

Here is hoping that TAXI 2 is not far behind. It's a good sign that it is region free and includes english subtitles too.

Taxi 4 is apprently region free, Taxi 3 is region B only.

I quite enjoyed a couple of these movies. I think this was the movie that introduced me to Marion Cotillard but its been so long since viewing.
