Default Are you prepared to pay extra for book editions from warner?

Im not sure if the book editions from Warner are gonna be more expensive, if they are, are you willing to pay more for these "Coffe table editions? I guess if its the only way to get the films we might have to, but I hope not

It's a book about coffee tables. There was one that was quite a big hit years ago... it featured celebrity coffee tables... and the book had legs that could turn the book itself into a coffee table.

I forget who created the book... Cosmo somebody or other...

Yes. Cosmo Kramer. I don't want to pay for this fluff given a choice. Please studios.... Don't get side tracked with "Gimmics" at the expense of top quality PQ and SQ. No one wants that trade off. If optional, fine.

Oh look, a new day and a new battle cry for the drama queens...
If you want the book, you pay the premium and if you don't you buy the normal version.
Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything, and I for one am rather happy that they are giving us something new and interesting as a choice.

I was wondering how long until someone came up with the name of the book's creator... and I agree.

The first "book edition" from WB, "Bonnie & Clyde" is the same price as their new releases... which isn't bad if it's a true "special edition" and contains a lot of special features... but pretty crappy otherwise.

Personally, I like uniformity in my collection, so I don't want ANY book editions as they would stick out from my collection.

I'm still not 100% sure as to what these are exactly, but if all they are are books packed with a BD, then I have no interest. I never even read the booklets that came with my old DVDs.

Depends. If there's the option of just getting the regular Blu-Ray edition of it without the book, then I think I'd take that. Money's tight, and while it would be cool to get the coffee book edition of it, it would take up a bit of shelf space. And part of the reason I'm into Blu-Ray is that the packaging cuts down on shelf space.

Good. You buy it. I don't see any consumer choice here. Bonnie and Clyde doesn't have a standard Blu-ray case offered. I just want the movie...no books, no plush toys, no action figures, no nifty cardboard packaging. Just the damn movie please.

Just before they did the last re-release of Enter The Dragon, they did a really cool VHS package. Came in a big 'binder'/book... it had all kinds of cool collector's stuff in it but the actual VHS was packaged normally inside. If they do editions like that, where I can pull the regular blue clam-shelled Blu-Ray out of the package, shelve it with the others and then store the rest of the package, I'd be fine with that. There'd be a few films I'd buy those editions of.

Even at the same price, I'd much prefer a regular Blu-ray case.
