Amazon Thor HMV steelbook on Amazon warehouse

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005SSB46S
Mods please lock or delete: Deal dead/expired
Just an FYI, I just found this and ordered one. $32.75 and free super saver shipping..I'm in regardless of whether it's sealed or not. The listing is for a "New" item though.

Somebody got bored sitting on it and lowered their price. The OP said he ordered it, so he likely got the only one that was listed at that price. Not sure why they would start a thread for a 1 item listing though when they purchased that 1 item.

When ordering like that from marketplace though, each listing is for a quantity of 1 item. So, that price was for a single copy that you had already purchased. The other 2 are still listed at the same prices as when there were 3 available.

You're confusing the marketplace with Amazon Warehouse. The Steelbook was sold by the latter, which is actually Amazon.com's own store for selling items that aren't perfect. They didn't lower or raise anything. And no there wasn't just 1 item in stock, there were 3 Steelbooks available like the op said, and they're just sold out now.

I have given up on steelbooks for this very reason. Why should some random person take most of my money for something that they payed quite little in comparison for? .. and if someone uses the word "business" they don't know what they are talking about.

I have just sold all 17 in my collection - all for original price or less. I have Batman Begins Best Buy & TDKR HMV - 2 for £25 if anyone is interested.

But the Thor steelbook were not released in North America.
Why would Amazon's North American warehouse have one?

It was probably a marketplace seller, the OP can settle this.

Amazon do bring over imports from time to time, and they also tend to sell some products in the warehouse section that they've never sold at amazon.com (for example they're selling an E.T. Digibook) The description from the op sounds exactly like Amazon Warehouse, especially having multiple copies of the steelbook listed, not to mention the low price.

In fact, if you look through the warehouse, you'll several imported steelbooks listed including German editions for Sherlock Holmes, Moonwalker and Gran Torino

Yea it was through U.S. Amazon warehouse. I was kind of shocked to see it on there as well. I was originally searching for a Best Buy exclusive Thor slip when that came up in the search. I apologize for the limited nature of the deal, but I was hoping to possibly help out a few fellow steel collectors. My advice would be just to keep monitoring the warehouse deals. I know I certainly will. Also, if anyone is actually interested in seeing a receipt or proof, I'd be more than happy to post a pic upon receipt.

Thanks for confirming.
I don't think anyone wants proof that it was a warehouse deal. It was just strange that Amazon was selling it directly. I didn't even know that Amazon imported steels from other countries, kinda weird that they have used one for sale.

No problem. I'll keep my eyes peeled for other steel deals to report on there.

Why would amazon warehouse be any diffrent to something that amazon ships? Amazon ships on behalf of the seller who stores their stock with amazon isnt that right? UNless the condition of the item was cruddy before it shipped then it should be well packaged. In theory at least.
