Default Whats with the close encounters preview on dogma

Why are they presenting previews of movies that are already released... a little redundant in my opinion

I've noticed this too, but they usually say something like, "Out now on Blu Ray...". It's a way for studios to try and get people who may not have picked up the title to see a preview, in hopes they will pick it up as well. The worst though are all the ones that Disney puts on their BD's, thankfully you can skip them.

You should ask this question from paidgeek, the Sony insider.

Almost all movies previews are for older movies..

Or have you only watched one movie and just decided to comment on it!?

Because Close Encounters should have sold a lot better than it did, and they are reminding people that it is still out there.

They've got a lot of older previews on different BDs...there are new consumers everyday who have yet to buy these discs. I like new previews too, but I don't think the old ones are too excessive.
